Open Source Code Quality On Par with Proprietary Code in 2011 Coverity Scan Report

San Francisco,US: Coverity, Inc., the leader in development testing, released today the 2011 Coverity Scan Open Source Integrity Report (Scan). This report is the result of the largest public-private sector research project focused on open source software integrity, originally initiated between Coverity and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in 2006, and currently owned and managed by Coverity.

Govt to prefer domestically manufactured electronic products

New Delhi: The Cabinet has approved the proposal to provide preference to domestically manufactured electronic products, in procurement of those electronic products which have security implications for the country and in Government procurement for its own use, consistent with our World Trade Organization (WTO) commitments.
