Rise in number of cyber security violations, 96383 incidents reported to CERT-In

New Delhi : With the increase in the proliferation of Information Technology and related services there is a rise in number of cyber security violations. The trend in increase in cyber security violations is similar to that worldwide. As per the cyber crime data maintained by National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), a total of 68, 179, 142, 217, 288, 420, 966, 1791, 2876 and 4356 Cyber Crime cases were registered under Information Technology Act during the years 2004 to 2013 respectively.

Hyderabad : The Home Ministry is taking all steps necessary for the prevention of cyber crime and very soon we shall further strengthen the Cyber Crime Prevention Strategy, said Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh at Hyderabad today. He participated as the Chief Guest at the 66th passing out parade of the trainee officers of the Indian Police Service held at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad.

Ravi Shankar Prasad calls for Democratisation of Global Affairs of Telecommunications and Internet Governance

Busan, South Korea: India wants democratisation and broad-basing of the global affairs of telecommunications and internet governance. This was the main message taken forward by the Minister for Communications and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad while he led the Indian delegation at the inaugural of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) Conference at Busan in South Korea. The Conference was inaugurated by the President of South Korea.
