MeitY launches Cyber Swachhta Kendra - Botnet Cleaning and Malware Analysis Centre

New Delhi : Extending the 'Swachh Bharat' campaign to the cyber world, the Minister of Electronics and Information Technology, Shri. Ravi Shankar Prasad, today launched the Cyber Swachhta Kendra–Botnet Cleaning and Malware Analysis Centre for analysis of malware and botnets that affect networks and systems. This is a part of MeitY’s Digital India initiative aimed at creating a secure cyber space by detecting botnet infections in India and to notify, enable cleaning and securing systems of end-users to prevent further infections.

RBI set up a Cyber Security and IT Examination (CSITE) Cell to tackle cyber security breach in debit/credit cards

New Delhi : Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Minister of State in the Ministry of Finance in written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha today mentioned that Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has informed that an incident of data breach with respect to cards was reported and the matter is under investigation. Independent investigation by a forensic auditor approved under Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) framework is under process.

India and UAE sign MoU on Technical Cooperation in Cyber Space and Combating Cyber-Crime

New Delhi  : The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given its ex-post approval for the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Technical Cooperation in Cyber Space and Combating Cyber-Crime signed last month.

Ministry of Home Affairs to set up Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C)

New Delhi : The Expert Group constituted in the Ministry of Home Affairs to prepare a roadmap for effectively tackling cyber crimes in the country has recommended to set up an Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) to fight against cyber crimes in the country. This has been accepted by the Ministry of Home Affairs, in-principle, for effective execution of online cyber crime reporting, cybercrime monitoring, setting up of forensic units, capacity building of police, prosecutors & judicial officials, promotion of Research & Development, awareness creation etc.

New Delhi : The Union Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh inaugurated the Asia’s foremost Information Security Conference: Ground Zero Summit 2015 here today. The theme for the Summit is Digital India – ‘Securing Digital India’ . The four-day summit is being organized to deliberate upon various issues related to cyber security challenges emerging due to the latest technological developments.
