Bangalore: Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR) today announced that it has been named Network Security Vendor of the Year at the prominent Frost & Sullivan 2011 India IT & Telecom Excellence Awards. Leading global consulting firm Frost & Sullivan, recognized exceptional industry achievements by presenting the awards to top companies in the regional and global markets.

The IT & Telecom Excellence Awards is Frost & Sullivan's initiative to identify outstanding performance in the industry. The analyst team conducted detailed research and assessment on market performance of companies (such as revenue and market share growth, portfolio diversity, major customer acquisitions and business/market strategy) to select the recipients in each award categories. Post which, an Independent and Distinguished Panel of Judges comprising senior executives from the industry evaluate the findings and decide on the deserving award recipients.
