Protecting your Downloads.....how to?
Let me ask you a question. How would you download file from the internet? Isn’t that simple question? Just right click on the file and choose save, that’s how simple it is you might throw answer on my face. But the task which appears pretty simple is showered with entraps that could cause extreme impairment to your computer than you could imagine ever.
In fact, the impending peril of downloading any file or software exceeds the rewards allied with download. Hence staying and behaving heedful, cautious while using the internet is the first step towards protecting your computer.
At the time of downloading any software or a file from the Internet, you are also likely to download viruses, worms, spyware etc. onto your computer. Be conscious about the latest viruses or malicious software causing the damages by spreading by the means of internet.
Your first and foremost defence is your computer. Condense your computer's vulnerability by using simple tips which will keep your computer safe and secure. Majority of the operating systems does have defensive, shielding measures; learn about them by joining excellent networking courses offered by the eminent institutions like Sedulity Group, Tilak Maharashtra University etc.
Defend your computer system by installing the latest anti-virus software onto the same don’t leave just like that by installing the same do update your antivirus, anti-spyware anti-virus software before scanning your computer for viruses on regular basis. Here I mean regular basis means whenever you hooks onto the internet.
Use automatic update feature of your antivirus software so that it will get updated whenever you will connect your computer to the internet.  Set your anti-virus software settings in such way that it scans all the incoming files including e-mail attachments at the time of downloading the same and before you access them.
If you are using the web based emails like yahoo.com or gmail.com turn on the spam settings made available by such web sites in order to protect your data from spam emails. Use such filters made available by web based email service providers and some email clients like Thunderbird, Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express etc. which can block unwanted or spam messages.
Security comes first after all if you’re downloading anything from the internet. Don’t forget to use your common sense while downloading. Till then enjoy!!!
Wishing you all a very happy holi and happy downloading! Keep downloading!
