The Mobile Aided Note Identifier (MANI) App, launched on January 1, 2020, assists visually impaired persons in identifying the denomination of Indian banknotes through audio notifications in Hindi and English.
In a recent update, the app has expanded its accessibility by adding 11 additional languages for audio notification: Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
The MANI App is free of cost and can be downloaded from both the Android Play Store and iOS App Store. Existing users can update their app to integrate the new multilingual features, further enhancing financial inclusion for visually impaired users across India.
