Mumbai : DBS Bank India today launched ‘Action against Cyber Theft - (ACT)’, a consumer led education initiative. With this series, the bank aims to promote steps that the consumer can take to avoid being a victim of cyber thefts and practice responsible banking.
As a force for good, DBS Bank aims to positively impact communities in which they operate and play the role of a catalyst in solving Asia’s social challenges. In India, cyber thefts continue to remain a challenge for the consumers. Through this endeavor, the educative series will reach out to consumers at multiple touch points - television, print, radio, outdoor, theatres, on-ground activities and digital channels – to inform about cyber thefts. Speaking on the occasion of the launch, Ms.Sheran Mehra, Head – Group Strategic Marketing & Communication, DBS Bank India said: “With the growing internet penetration and associated technology, consumers are constantly under risk of the evolving nature of cyber crime; in this scenario it is imperative that the consumers are educated and aware. ACT will be a sustained, broad-based initiative to spread the awareness among the consumers and help minimize the risk of cyber theft.”
