Hyderabad : The Home Ministry is taking all steps necessary for the prevention of cyber crime and very soon we shall further strengthen the Cyber Crime Prevention Strategy, said Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh at Hyderabad today. He participated as the Chief Guest at the 66th passing out parade of the trainee officers of the Indian Police Service held at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad.

It is not necessary at all for a cyber criminal to reside in your town or country, as this is an act that can be committed from any corner of the world and can hit anyone, anywhere and anytime, the Home Minister said.

In view of the increase in the number of crimes and their ever newer dimensions, the modernization of police training and the police organization is highly imperative. He informed that the government shall take steps for implementing the Dharamveer Commission-1978 report. [PIB]
