New Delhi: IT professionals face many daunting challenges, from thwarting cyber crime to ensuring mobile device security. ISACA's two-day Asia-Pacific Computer Audit, Control and Security (CACS)/Information Security and Risk Management (ISRM) conference in New Delhi, India, on 14-15 September 2012, will bring together global experts to help enterprises face the latest threats that keep them up at night.
Asia-Pacific CACS/ISRM offers three unique tracks with more than 20 sessions featuring industry leaders and officials who understand today's information security and IT governance challenges.
Special keynote addresses include an industry panel discussion with invited representatives from the Comptroller and Audit General Office, Cert-IN and the National e-Governance Division (NEGD) and a presentation by J. Trevor Hughes, CIPP, President and CEO International Association of Privacy Professionals.
On this occasion Mr. Niraj Kapasi, Chair of the ISACA India Task Force, says, "Risk managers and security experts need to be aware that information risk does not just come from servers that you have in a data center or your office operations, but also from the people you employ and contract. They can be in your office or work remotely, which also includes customers, employees or contractors for outsourced services. Information security losses can result from internal employees, industrial surveillance by competitors, hackers, organized crime and even foreign governments."
Mr. Kapasi added, "Better information security and risk management will help decrease the number of losses and will help give the organization a culture of security, which is of critical importance."
Mr. A.Rafeq, Past Member, COBIT 5 Task Force, said: "This is the first time the Asia-Pacific CACS conference has featured a separate track on COBIT.
