Mumbai: Directorate of Information Technology, Government of Maharashtra, in association with DSCI-NASSCOM and KPMG organized a one day seminar at Sahyadri Guest House in Mumbai. The seminar was inaugurated by Prithviraj Chauhan, Chief Minister, Maharashra.
Justice A.M.Khanvilkar, High Court, Mumbai were the Guest of Honour for the inaugural session. Arup Patnaik, Mumbai Police Commissioner were also present for the inaugural session. Rajesh Aggarwal, Secretary IT, Maharashtra Govt. welcomed the guests and presented the agenda of the day long event.
Addressing on the occasion, Maharashtra CM stressed on the need of efforts from industry to make system full proof. He also touched some of the advanced security mechanisms needed including G-Governance in E-Governance. People are becoming more dependent on technology so it is important to have discipline, he said. Expressing concern over very little research happening in India, CM said Higher Education is not in good health.
P.K.Chophla, GM, RBI; Ashish Chauhan, Dy CEO, BSE; S.K.Mukhopadhyay, CISO SBI; Sanjay Sharma, MD, IDBI Intech were the panelist from banking sector for discussions on 'Audacious & Targeted Cyber Security Threats-Securing Critical Financial Infrastructure'.
For 'Cyber Law Echosystem' discussions, Rajesh Agarwal, Secretary IT; D.Shivanandhan, Former DGP; Vakul Sharma, Advocate Supreme Court; Pavan Duggal, Advocate, Supreme Court and Sanjay Choughle, Sr.GM & Global Head Financial Crime, ICICI Bank were present.
In concluding session, Nandkumar Saravade, South Asia- Security & Investigative Services, Citi Bank; Vinayak Godse, Director, Data-Protection, DSCI; Deven Bharti, Addl. CP Crime, Mumbai; Vishal Salvi, CISO, HDFC Bank and S.K.R.C. Prasad, VP-IT, Axis Bank were present.
The seminar participants includes Police Officers, Banking and Financial Sector Staff, IT Security Professionals and DIT staff.
