Government to introduce secure phone system for classified communications

New Delhi: The Government of India has developed secure phone system for Intra Governmental classified communications, which will provide end to end encryption for security of the communication.

The Minister of State of Communications and Information Technology Shri Milind Deora informed the Lok Sabha today that these phones are proposed to be allotted based on the requirement of the user Ministry/Department/State Government in consultation with Ministry of Home affairs. The phones are planned to be introduced from June 2012, he said.
