New Delhi: According to NASSCOM, India’s IT industry is concerned about US threats to stop outsourcing.

Shri Sachin Pilot, Minister of State for Communications & Information Technology informed the Rajya Sabha yesterday that the following issues have adversely impacted outsourcing from India:

(i) Steep Hike in Visa fees under (Public Law) PL 111-230( August 2010) ;

TRAI takes steps to Stop Misleading Tariff Advertisements

New Delhi: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) yesterday announced measures to improve transparency in telecom tariff offers so that telecom subscribers can choose the best available tariff plans.

The directions to Telecom access service providers, Preventing Misleading Tariff Advertisements, has been finalised after extensive stakeholder consultations including holding cross-country open house discussions.

New Delhi: Sachin Pilot, the Minister of State, Communication and Information Technology in response to a question in Lok Sabha said that, In tune with the dynamic nature of Information Technology (IT) , continuous efforts are on to prevent and recover from cyber attacks. The area of Information Technology is characterised by rapid developments and fast changing obsolescence, he said.

With every IT product introduced into the market, newer vulnerabilities are discovered, leaving scope for malicious actions, he added.
