New Delhi: The Minister of State for Communications & Information Technology Shri Milind Deora informed the Rajya Sabha today in a written reply that the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has initiated a study in Delhi & NCR to study the adverse effects of radio frequency radiation emitted from Cell Phones.

It only provides an enabling framework and is therefore consistent with India’s WTO commitments. The Government has notified the policy for providing preference to domestically manufactured electronic products in procurement due to security considerations.
