India to protect citizen’s privacy and ownership of data while using AI for Good Governance

New Delhi : Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation, Suresh Prabhu said that Government will use Artificial Intelligence (AI) for good governance and proper regulations and corrective action will be taken to protect citizen’s privacy and ownership of data. India is transporting more data than US and China put together and the top six companies in the world are using this data with value addition and monetization. Suresh Prabhu added that India is strengthening its legal system and regulatory framework to deal with this world of digital data.

Union Home Minister to launch various women safety initiatives - ERSS, ITSSO, SCIM

New Delhi : The Union Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh will launch various initiatives for women safety here tomorrow. These initiatives will include launch of Emergency Response Support System in 16 states/UTs and Mumbai city, Investigation Tracking System for Sexual Offences (ITSSO) and Safe City Implementation Monitoring Portal. The 16 states/UTs are Andhra Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, UP, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, Andaman, Dadar Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, J&K.

Pulwama attack: Over 50 Pakistani websites hacked

Mumbai : According to sources, more than 50 websites from Pakistan are Hacked by Indian Hacker Group -'Team|Crew'. It appears that hackers supporting India against Pakistan have joined hands to co-ordinate large scale attacks on websites from Pakistan after terror attack on CRPF convoy in Pulwama on 14th February 2019.

According to Times of India story, after the hacking, the attackers left a message, 'We will never forget #14/02/2019'.

80 % of the Indian population holds an account at financial institutions : RBI Report

New Delhi : As per the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) Report on Trend and Progress of Banking in India 2017-18, powered by the drive to mobilise account ownership among unbanked adults through the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), the proportion of persons joining the formal financial system in terms of an account at financial institutions has more than doubled since 2011 and by 2017, it had reached 80 per cent of the Indian population – comparable with China and better than other BRICS peers.
