SFIO signs MoU with NIELIT for setting up a forensic lab for investigation of corporate frauds

New Delhi : The Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs has signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) on 18-03-2013 with: (i) the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), an autonomous scientific society of the Department of Information Technology, Government of India for setting up a Forensic Lab within SFIO premises in New Delhi.

Defence services establishes CERTs to prevent and react to cyber attacks

New Delhi : Defence Minister AK Antony in a written reply to a question informed the lok sabha that, hosting of confidential defence information is governed by strict guidelines. While threats of cyber attacks have increased, adequate safeguards to protect systems through air gapped computers and intranets have been undertaken. Defence Services have established Cyber Emergency Response Teams (CERTs) to prevent and react to cyber attacks.

1900 Register for first ever plan Hackathon

New Delhi : Registrations for the first ever 32 hour Hackathon on the 12th Plan have successfully concluded, with over 1900 participants at 10 locations across India and online. The locations include University of Jammu, IIT Delhi, Delhi University, Aligarh Muslim University, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, TISS Mumbai, IIIT Hyderabad, IISc Bangalore, IIT Madras.

ISACA and CSI sign MOU in Mumbai to advance the IT profession

Mumbai : Two major IT organizations in India have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to benefit IT professionals throughout the country. The Computer Society of India (CSI) and ISACA MOU enables mutual collaboration and knowledge sharing for the benefit of the profession.

ISACA is a global association of 100,000 IT professionals who help enterprises ensure trust in, and value from, their information and systems. CSI has more than 100,000 members and 70 chapters in India.
